The Goal of God’s Economy

The Dispensing of the Processed Triune God—the Throne and the River The central and most crucial matter revealed in the Bible is the Triune God and His divine dispensing. The New Jerusalem, as the conclusion of the entire Bible, likewise points us to this essential vision. The dispensing of the divine Trinity within the New Jerusalem is clearly seen in Revelation 22:1:

And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb in the middle of its street.

As the Spirit, the processed Triune God flows into all of His redeemed people, eternally dispensing Himself into them as their life and life supply.

This verse reveals God the Father on the throne—throne signifying God’s universal administration to carry out His eternal plan. But the Father is not on the throne alone; He is embodied there in Christ, the Lamb of God (John 1:29). As the Lamb, Christ accomplished a full redemption for the carrying out of God’s economy. He is now, therefore, the redeeming God on the throne. Furthermore, proceeding out of the throne is the river of water of life, signifying the Spirit (John 7:37-38a). As the Spirit, the processed Triune God flows into all of His redeemed people, eternally dispensing Himself into them as their life and life supply.
